Aqua Blue Enamel Mandala Pendant, Handmade Sterling Silver and Glass Enamel Champleve Necklace

Like a soothing seascape under a summer sky, this mandala pendant brings the meditative quality of geometric symmetry with beautiful aqua, blues and green glass enamels that I inlaid into the surface of the silver. I handcut the mandala design with a jewelry saw and fused the cut out metal to a solid sheet of silver, which creates recessed areas that allow for the glass to be carefully placed. Once the glass is in place, I fuse the glass to the metal in a small furnace, creating glossy, magical transparent colors, so that you can still see the silver underneath the surface. It's like looking through shimmering water. The back of the pendant has a solid color glass enamel fused to the surface also.

This is one of a series of meditation mandala pieces I am proud to add to my jewelry collection. It is one of a kind.
