Blue Moonstone Ring

DetailsBlue moonstone, or Larvikite, is found only in Norway. I made this ring to feature this square specimen, and set it in a hammered sterling silver ring band. The glorious stone is rich in color - lustrous blue, silver and black, and has a depth in its rich sheen, with an iridescent, mica flash. This is a statement ring, as the moonstone measures 15mm on each side. I set it in a textured gallery wire style bezel, and lightly oxidized the ring. This is a one-of-a-kind piece in a size 6 1/2.
