Nordic Raindrop Necklace

Embracing the Pacific Northwest's green and rainy climate, I designed and made this new necklace with the graceful raindrop shape, which highlights the stunning 10mm green Tahitian pearl that I set inside. Not to be neglectful of my state stone, I added a matching rare green 3mm brilliant cut Oregon sunstone as an accent at the top. The colors of the greens in this piece are really soft, almost aqua. The picture can't quite do it justice, as it is unique and lovely.

I made the piece in sterling silver, and hung it on a sterling silver 18 inch Omega chain. It's one of my special one-of-a-kind pieces, as the Oregon sunstones in the greens and blues are the most rare and valuable. This one comes from an Oregon mine in our high desert, near the amazing Steens Mountain and Hart Mountain.

The Tahitian pearl is one of nature's most beautiful gifts. Harvested from the sea, this gorgeous pearl shows primarily green/blue, with iridescent highlights.
