DetailsLooking for bright, cheery colors in your jewelry? I made this enameled pendant for just that reason. Using the filigree approach to plique a jour enamel, I constructed the framework in sterling silver, leaving open spaces that I meticulously filled with ground glass and fired in a hot furnace to fuse the glass. Plique a jour means "light of day", and you see the stained glass window effect in these pieces, since there is no backing material behind the glass cells. I paired this with genuine green peridot faceted beads and some sterling silver bead accents. If you love greens, this is like spring in all its glory!
