14k Gold and Montana Sapphire Birch Branch Earrings

Another in my series of birch inspired Nordic jewelry, I made these earrings in 14k gold, hand carved to resemble the patterns in birch trees. I added a dangling drop of gorgeous teal blue Montana sapphires - mined and faceted in the U.S. Montana sapphires are special, in that the colors of pastel blues and greens are not common in the rest of the world - this pair are particularly lovely, with a wonderful depth of color. These earrings are set on 14k gold posts, and hang about 1.5 inches below the earlobe.
