Silver, 14k Gold & Finnish Spectrolite Northern Lights Pendant

The northern lights, transformed into a necklace in this piece, made from a stunning and rare piece of Finnish spectrolite. Spectrolite is a form of labradorite, only found in this mineral combination in Finnish mountains - it is aptly named the Aurora Borealis stone. This handcut piece is rectangular, with a domed top that helps capture the deep blue color that runs through the entire stone. I made a sterling silver and 14k gold setting for the stone, and kept the back open to see the beauty of the stone. The accent stone is a lovely Montana sapphire.
