DetailsStrong women will wear this shield design necklace with confidence! In my continuing tribute to Viking women, I made this argentium silver with my handmade filigree and granulation, using an old motif from Viking shields. The spiraling scrollwork was often seen on sailing ships, and we think it represented continuity, and perhaps the steady winds guiding the ship across the seas. I suspend the 1 inch diameter pendant from an 18 inch sterling silver chain.
