DetailsModern filigree design on my handcrafted hollow formed silver pendant, featuring a glowing green peridot gemstone cabochon. I make my filigree by twisting fine wire, then fusing the shapes I create onto the body of the piece. Filigree is an ancient tradition, and I like to use modern minimalist designs to keep it fresh. This design celebrates new beginnings, with a crescent moon shape in the filigree, and sparkling "stars" made in silver granulation balls.
The peridot cabochon is set into the piece, and I used 24k gold underneath the stone's setting, so it has an outstanding glow and sparkle. This necklace hangs about 30 inches, a lovely statement length. -
