Norwegian Filigree Viking Helm Design Ring

DetailsModern filigree merges with ancient culture in my VIking ring. I created the design to be strong and dimensional, yet elegant and airy - a hybrid of traditional Norwegian filigree metalworking with contemporary flair. Filigree is made from finely twisted silver wire, that I then shape into motifs - this one is patterned in a wave, like the North Sea waves. Three bands of sterling silver frame the filigree for a bold look, and the helm design is uniquely my own interpretation of the Viking face shields. A great combination of fluidity and warrior spirit.
I made this ring in a size 7.75 and it is about 15mm wide. -
