I've combined a classic sweet heart shape with my Norwegian filigree in this sparkling silver necklace. Norwegian filigree is the art of using hand-twisted pure silver wires, that I then bend into various shapes and apply to a sterling silver background. It is painstakingly detailed work, that results in unique and lovely designs. The bail on this necklace is open-work filigree, which is the wire design fitted to the outside wire framework, even more detailed - it is a traditional silversmithing technique that takes years to perfect, and the results are beautiful.
